William H. Coley Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

The William H. Coley Scholarship is funded in his honor to be awarded to a student who is completing the first year of study in a four year institution.

The applicant may also be enrolled in a two year institution (community college) with the intention of transferring to a college to complete a four year degree.

The recipient shall be a graduate of Mt. Juliet or Wilson Central High Schools majoring in a field of agriculture or education with preference given to agriculture majors.

Preference shall also be given to applicants who were enrolled in agricultural education during high school and were active in the FFA.

The recipient will be selected based upon academic accomplishment, leadership and financial need.

Selection will be made by individuals from Mt. Juliet and Wilson Central High Schools on a schedule to be determined locally. A presentation announcing the name of the recipient will be made at the annual FFA parent/member banquet of the recipient’s former high school. Contact the FFA advisor at Mt.
