The 2023 Tennessee FFA Environmental and Natural Resources Career Development Event was held at Camp Clements Saturday, June 10, 2023. The purpose of the Environmental and Natural Resources Career Development Event is to foster student interest, promote environmental and natural resource instruction in the agricultural education curriculum, and provide recognition for those who have demonstrated skills and competencies as a result of environmental and natural resource instruction. Students completed a written exam, identified fifty items including environmental equipment, native species, and invasive/non-native species, analyzed a soil profile, and evaluated a waste management scenario. This contest is sponsored by Tennessee Valley Authority Community Outreach Support and Dr. Michael Vestal.
