STATION CAMP FFA HAS OUTSTANDING OFFICER TEAM AT STATE CAMP

DOYLE, TN – The Station Camp Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter of Sumner County was presented with the Outstanding Officer Team Award at Camp Clements on July 17. More than 200 students, advisors and guests attended what was the last of six weeks of Leadership Training Camp offered to the Tennessee FFA membership. 

Chapter officer teams must be active in officer classes, specialty classes, have a representative elected to Camp Council, and have a large sum of their members qualify for the gold leadership award to be considered for the Outstanding Officer Team Award. 

In addition to winning Outstanding Officer Team, Station Camp FFA member Julia Knaggs won the Quiz Contest and Allison Parker was elected as Camp Council President. 

The Station Camp FFA officers are: President, Allison Parker; Vice President, Avery Jesson; Vice President, Julia Knaggs; Secretary, Landon Sutton; Reporter, Emily Sutherland; Sentinel, Josh Crow. The chapter’s advisors are Donald Fowler and Laura Purtle. 

FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Nationally, there are 610,240 FFA members, aged 12-21. The Tennessee FFA Association is comprised of more than 13,000 members from 214 high school chapters, seven middle school chapters, and eight collegiate chapters across the state of Tennessee.
