
DOYLE, TN — The Clinton Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter of Anderson County was named Outstanding Chapter at Camp Clements Leadership Training Camp on July 1, 2016. More than 200 students, advisors and guests attended what was the fifth of seven weeks of Lead-ership Training Camp offered to the Tennessee FFA Association.
Chapter officer teams must be active in officer classes, public speaking classes, the rifle range, an Extemporaneous Public Speaking contest, a camp-wide Quiz Bowl contest, various sporting events, and have a large sum of their members qualify for the gold leadership award to be con-sidered for the Outstanding Chapter Award.
The Clinton FFA Chapter took home honors including: fifth place in Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Zach White; first place in Quiz Bowl, Caleb Fox, Kaleb White, Daniel Gentry, and Zachary White; and sixth place in Quiz Contest, Caleb Fox. They were awarded numerous out-standing bronze, silver and gold leadership awards, as well as Best Sports and Best Athletes.
The Clinton FFA Senior Officers are: President, Ben Daniels; Vice President, Caleb White; Secretary, Kyla Henderson; Treasurer, Bayley Daniels; Reporter, Zachary White; and Sentinel, Daniel Gentry. The Clinton FFA Advisors are David Rogers and Rodney Mann.
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Nationally, there are 629,367 FFA members, aged 12-21. The Tennessee FFA Association is comprised of 14,084 members from 214 high school chapters, 7 middle school chapters, and 8 collegiate chapters across the state of Tennessee.
