On Tuesday, June 9, the 2026 Tennessee FFA State Star Tour, presented by Farm Credit Mid-America, highlighted the diversity and innovation found throughout Tennessee agriculture. The day began at the Tennessee Soybean Promotion Council, where the State Stars learned how checkoff investments support research, education, and market development for soybean producers. At Helena Agri-Enterprises, they explored the role of agronomy, precision agriculture, and crop inputs in modern farming. The group then visited 5th Gen Cotton Co., where former FFA members Franklin Carmack and Jeffrey Daniels shared how they transformed Tennessee-grown cotton into a consumer brand that tells agriculture's story. The day concluded at POET Bioprocessing, where the State Stars gained insight into renewable fuels and the many ways agricultural commodities are used to create sustainable products.
