Day 5 of the Tennessee FFA Goodwill Tour took us to Capitol Hill and beyond for a day centered on advocacy, partnerships, and opportunities for Tennessee FFA Association members.
We started at the 45th Annual Tennessee FFA Legislative Breakfast, made possible with premier sponsorship from the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association and support from members of the Tennessee Bankers Association. The best part of the morning was seeing FFA members interact with legislators, share their stories, and represent agriculture with confidence.
We were also honored to be recognized on the Senate floor, thanks to Senator Shane Reeves.
After that recognition, we stopped by RFD-TV, highlighting the importance of National FFA Week and the impact of strong communication and advocacy for our industry.
From there, we visited Tennessee State University, highlighting pathways for members who want to continue their education and careers in agriculture.
Next, we stopped at Middle Tennessee Electric, getting an inside look at how they keep the region powered. We are grateful for the way their support has grown over the past few years — especially through their involvement with the Ham Breakfast.
Then we headed to the Tennessee Cattlemen's Association, where we were joined by the Tennessee Beef Industry Council, Tennessee Pork Producers, and the Farm Animal Care Coalition of Tennessee. We appreciated the chance to connect with leaders who support animal agriculture and continue investing in opportunities for Tennessee FFA members.
We wrapped up the day at the MTSU School of Agriculture, continuing conversations about education, leadership, and the future of Tennessee agriculture.
It was a full and busy day, and we are thankful for every stop and every partner who made it meaningful.
