Day 4 on the Tennessee FFA Goodwill Tour highlighted the people and programs working every day to meet real needs in Tennessee agriculture.
We started at the Appalachian Producers Cooperative, a farmer-owned meat processing facility built to serve local producers and help meet the growing demand for local processing in Northeast Tennessee.
Next, we visited Smoky Mountain Farmers Co-op Veterinary Services in Newport to learn how their team is filling a real need for large animal veterinary care in the region.
We wrapped up at the Herbert College of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where FFA members and local chapters joined to connect with the Tennessee FFA State Officers, Herbert College of Agriculture leadership, and student ambassadors.
