The Tennessee FFA State Officer Team wrapped up the Goodwill Tour on Friday, starting with a visit to our sponsor, the Tennessee Farmers Cooperative. Founded on the belief that “together we can make a difference,” Co-op has a long history of service and supporting FFA. The officers learned the history of Tennessee Farmers Cooperative thanks to Scott Bohanon, Education & Training Manager, and the Tennessee Farmers Cooperative Foundation‘s charitable initiatives thanks to Executive Director Claire Hill. The team then had the privilege of attending the F&M Bank Goodwill Tour Luncheon, where they connected with community leaders, supporters, and advocates of agricultural education. A special thanks to Tim Chowning, Foundation Board of Directors Treasurer, for graciously hosting this event and for his continued support of our mission. The final stop of the tour was at Eric & Lynn Mayberry’s farm in Hurricane Mills. Eric Mayberry, who serves as the President of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation, farms corn, soybeans, and beef cattle alongside his family.
