Placement proficiency awards are given to those students whose supervised agricultural experiences (SAE) are related to employment, apprenticeships or internships at an agribusiness or agriculture-related organization.

Entrepreneurship proficiency awards are given to those students whose SAEs are related to ownership of an agribusiness or agriculture-related organization.

Students applying for proficiency awards get the opportunity to compete locally, regionally, statewide and nationally.
