TN FFA Alumni Blue & Gold Ball
The first annual Tennessee FFA Alumni Blue and Gold Ball was held Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville. The event honored Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth K. Mitchell of Dickson, Tennessee. Mr. Mitchell has served over 60 plus years in Tennessee Agriculture Education. Mr. Mitchell began his work in 1946 teaching Veteran Agriculture classes at Norris High School and taught agriculture at Dickson County High School from 1951 to 1961. He joined the Tennessee State Department of Education in 1961 where he served as the State FFA Advisor until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Mitchell is still active in the FFA serving as Chairman Emeritus of the Tennessee FFA Foundation. The ball was attended by 65 supporters of the FFA and the money raised will support the forthcoming Mr. Kenneth K. Mitchell Print.
